Introduction
Karuanas (the App) is a personal project designed to help users find outdoor calisthenics spots. This privacy policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and your rights regarding your personal information.
Data Collected
When you create an account, we collect your email address and a name of your choice. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from your Google account. When you add a spot, we store the location coordinates, name, photos, and equipment details you provide. When you leave a review, we store your rating and optional comment.
We also collect device location data (with your permission) to show nearby spots.
How We Use Your Data
Your data is used exclusively to provide the App's features: displaying spots on the map, showing reviews, managing your profile, and enabling community moderation.
We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising or profiling purposes.
Data Storage
Your data is stored on Supabase servers in the European Union (EU). Photos are stored in Supabase Storage. All connections use HTTPS encryption. We retain your data only as long as your account is active.
Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services: Supabase (authentication and database hosting, EU region), Google Sign-In (authentication — we receive your name, email, and profile photo; Google's privacy policy applies), MapTiler (map tiles and geocoding), and Sentry (anonymous error tracking, configured without personally identifiable information). Each service has its own privacy policy.
Your Rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can edit your profile information at any time from the Profile screen. You can delete your entire account and all associated data from your Profile tab > Delete Account. You can request a copy of your data by contacting us.
Account Deletion
You can permanently delete your account at any time from your Profile tab > Delete Account. This will remove all your data including your profile, spots, reviews, favorites, reports, and photos. This action is irreversible.
